Overview
PoolRobotHQ compares pool cleaners using published specifications: product class, cordless vs corded, runtime, wall climb, and which surfaces they clean. Rankings default to robotic pool cleaners. Solar skimmers, suction-side, and pressure-side units stay in their own class and are not mixed into “best robot” lists. Affiliate commissions do not change rankings or which models appear.
Where specs come from
Each product is matched to an exact brand and model (and Amazon ASIN when present). Sources are preferred in this order:
- Manufacturer specification sheets and user manuals
- Official brand product pages
- Retailer listings, used only when they name the same model
Conflicting numbers are resolved by keeping the manufacturer value when it is specific to the same model variant. Fields we cannot verify are left blank rather than guessed.
Runtime
Runtime is the published cleaning cycle in minutes. We do not invent runtime. Cordless models typically list a battery cycle; corded units may omit it.
What it cleans
We record floor, walls, waterline, steps, and surface skimming only when the manufacturer documents those surfaces. Wall climb is recorded when vertical-wall cleaning is documented. Missing fields stay blank.
Coverage square footage is a claim
Brands often quote pool size in square feet. That number is manufacturer claimed coverage. It is shown as a claim and is not used for ranking. Rankings use cleaning surfaces, cordless operation, wall climb, and runtime.
Product classes
Robotic pool cleaners, solar skimmers, suction-side, and pressure-side units are different machines. Comparisons that mix classes are omitted from the sitemap and marked noindex when they do not share a class plus a primary spec.
Price policy
We do not publish Amazon-derived product prices or value scores. Use “Check current price on Amazon” to open the current retail listing.
Affiliate relationships
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Those commissions do not alter rankings, scores, or which products are listed.
Why some fields are blank
A blank cell means we do not have a reliable, model-matched value. Common cases: runtime never published, coverage only given as marketing copy, or wall climb not documented for that model.
